Vendor Management Analyst

Your role:
The Vendor Management Analyst will be responsible for managing the day-to-day vendor performance management processes and procedures that are consistent with corporate policy and guidelines, legal and ethical practices. The Analyst will work with the Business and support functions and participate in the development of performance management strategies for all aspects of the Vendor Relationship. As part of on-going responsibilities, the Analyst will provide scheduled communication concerning vendor performance checks to ensure key performance indicators are achieved and maintained.
Key competencies and responsibilities
? Develop strong relationships with key Business Area and other support functions/ organizations to ensure vendor performance is understood and managed appropriately
? Work directly with business and sourcing functions to conduct performance due diligence efforts for high risk vendors. Provide performance expertise to review due diligence documentation
? Serve as point of escalation for issues related to performance management and facilitate meetings with internal business units and Vendor to address projects, issues and escalations
? Ensure vendors provide service and support as outlined in contract terms and based on agreed upon performance goals
? Coordinate on-going quarterly or annual performance reviews and controls assurance activity. Engage and coordinate input from Business SMEs as necessary. Advise and support the identification and remediation of vendor gaps
? Maintain all Vendor Management Framework governance documents in the central repositories, including contracts and vendor governance evidence
? Collaborate with the business and technology SMEs to identify and communicate key vendor performance risks
? Monitor contract payment mechanisms including review and reconciliation of all vendor invoices
? Coordinate remediation activities, performing performance reviews and documenting actions taken
? Track, measure and communicate key performance metrics associated with vendor-related activities; Develop and manage dashboards for various departments and senior leadership
? Provide additional services for other areas of Vendor Management Office such as Vendor Risk Management and Contract Management

Your experience and skills:
? Demonstrates understanding of vendor management concepts and implementation techniques including vendor governance and performance monitoring
? Possesses excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
? Ability to handle ambiguity, juggle many tasks at once and quickly shift from one situation or task to another
? Demonstrates ability to define and manage processes
? Strong written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and effectively lead discussions
? Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff
? Strong understanding of project management methodologies
? Excellent communication skills, listening and negotiation skills in order to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means, including written and oral communications with all levels of the organization

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
