DTC Settlements - Associate Director

Your role:
- Taking responsibility for owning the day-to-day DTC domestic settlement, including primary market CD issuances, and acting as the point of escalation for managing reconciliations.
- Providing an industry leading level of client service to external clients and internal stakeholders, supporting stakeholders and developing valuable internal & external relationships with employees of varying seniority.
- Monitoring and managing third party vendors' performance in line with SLA expectations.
- To proactively ensure UBS's risk is managed and escalated in a timely fashion.

Your team:
This role supports Equities, Fixed Income, & wealth management businesses; the team handles all post-trade activities relating to settlement, and risk management. UBS also utilizes offshore service providers, and managing the relationship and performance of them is a key responsibility of the role. The ideal candidate will be highly proactive with strong leadership qualifications, strong attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and understand both internal & external stakeholders needs to provide an industry leading level of client & post-trade service, risk management and vendor management.
Your experience and skills:
You have:
- At minimum 2-years' experience as a senior analyst or leadership position in a similar role
- Ability to work independently within a highly regulated environment.
- An understanding of the finance industry & financial products.
- Knowledge of broker/dealer operations concepts such as Stock Record, DTC, Seg, and Trade Lifecycle highly preferred
- Comfortable communicating effectively with colleagues in the Front Office, Middle Office, and external counterparts & clients. Essential Skills / Aptitude:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required
- Good Analytical skills and keen eye for detail
- Planning & Organizational skills ?Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and computer skills required
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to research and understand financial concepts
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
