Compensation Controlling Service Line Manager - Americas

Your role:
The Compensation Controlling Service Line is looking for a Service Line Manager in the Americas to join the team who will support existing activities and drive forward new initiatives within the function. This role presents an opportunity for someone with a strong accounting & controlling background and excellent organization, communication and analytical skills. Reporting to the Global Head of CCS, the Service Line manager Americas is accountable for the design, performance and risk management of the control processes related to aforementioned services executed in the region Americas.
Specific responsibilities include:
?\tDesigning key procedural controls and key performance / risk indicators for the function
?\tDrafting and maintaining key operating procedures and guidance documents
?\tDesigning and ensuring delivery of state-of-the-art analytically review control documentation suitable for delivery to senior stakeholders in business partnering and other functions within Finance as well as HR
?\tActing as responsible officer and business manager for outsourced activities
?\tActively managing operational risk through risk identification, assessment and remediation
?\tDesigning, implementing and monitoring metrics and other appropriate performance measurements processes
?\tInterfacing with HR regarding the implementation of new and changed compensation plans
?\tInterfacing with Group Technology regarding the continuous development of the IT infrastructure that supports the accounting and control process
?\tManaging the relationship with external suppliers of compensation plan administration / valuation services

Your team:
The Compensation Controlling Service (CCS) Line is, within the Integrated Middle Office Financial Controlling (IMOFC) function, responsible for providing global accounting, controlling and reporting services related to variable compensation plans, pension and other post-employment benefit plans, compensation (trust) legal entities, US financial advisor compensation plans and other employee compensation matters.
Your experience and skills:
The ideal candidate has:
?\tAn undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting, preferably complemented with a graduate degree and/or a CPA qualification or equivalent
?\tAt least 8 years of relevant work experience, including experience in a global firm. Experience in the wealth management industry preferred
?\tAdvanced knowledge of accounting requirements related to compensation and benefits
?\tExperience with designing of procedural controls
?\tAdvanced knowledge and functional use of the Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with SAP and Business Objects preferred
?\tVery strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent ability to explain accounting concepts pertaining to compensation and benefits
?\tThe ability to work both independently and collaboratively
?\tThe ability to partner with stakeholders in other Finance functions, HR and IT on all levels of seniority
?\tThe ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks in an accounting & controlling function
?\tThe drive to make change happen and to contribute to the overall strategic goals of the organization

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
