Legal Billing & Operations Manager

Position summary:
The Manager, Global Invoice Processing works with the client's outside counsel, legal services vendors, and internal counsel to assist in the facilitation of onboarding law firms to the global electronic invoice system. This process includes the complete life cycle of initial communications, testing electronic files, reconciliation of matters, interworking with legal and business contacts to ensure a processing level of 90% of global inbound invoices. This role is responsible for reporting on various analytics associated with active matters, discounts, alternative fee arrangements, and volume discounts to senior legal and business heads. In addition, The Manager Global Invoice Processing is responsible for managing the external legal spend of the client through quarterly or semi-annual meetings with the law firm; managing referrals, discrepancies and creating the overall spend management strategy.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of a client site location providing Invoice process management by establishing and implementing standard procedures for team operations, with responsibility for the full spectrum of employee management, development and training.
Proven leadership in a customer service intensive environment.
Understand team financial targets, analyzing financial trends, identifying shortfalls, and create action plans to recover revenue or cut expenses as needed.
Manage the contract engagement with the assigned client including meeting or exceeding defined KPI's and SLA's using metrics.
Identify technology needs and simplification opportunities and draft related business requirements.
Interface with senior client stakeholders on a continuous basis.
Support end-to-end process around staff selection and onboarding; Responsible for staffing decisions, including interviewing, hiring, mentoring, and disciplining team members.
Manage team compensation, promotional increases and merit increases strategically, balancing employee rewards and department profitability.
Identify potential future leaders from the team, with a focus on succession planning.
Maximize profitability through the effective utilization of assets and site resources, and identifying additional revenue opportunities.
Ensure timely completion of necessary administrative duties such as payroll procedures, invoicing and accounting procedures and all client and Williams Lea required monthly and quarterly management reports.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, legal or related field preferred.
5+ years strong people management experience.
Strong communicator and high level of discretion
Understanding of general accounting principles; Finance, accounts receivable or payable
Ability to examine issues, make appropriate decisions and ensure prompt actions to ensure data integrity.
Strong communicator, creative, intelligent, self-disciplined and highly industrious.
Enjoys working in a growth oriented, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment.
Strong working knowledge of, and hands-on practical experience with, technology tools and applications typically used in Legal department settings including eBilling/Matter Management software.
Understanding of billing guidelines and rules; able to evaluate rates
Experience in project management; leading large-scale projects/programs, preferably in a Legal department or firm; understanding of full project lifecycle management
Strong technical skills; proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
Working knowledge of corporate finance/budgeting practices
Requirements

Quality candidates may have experience in the following areas;
? Finance, accounts receivable or payable
? Input, maintain, and analyze all pricing and rates data;
? Mass communications to outside counsel;
? Ebilling experience highly preferred.
? Understanding of billing guidelines and rules; able to evaluate rates

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
