IT Account Manager

At a high-level, the IT Account Management function manages the relationship to customers, represents their service needs, and maintains their service portfolios. As an Account Manager for wealth management technology, the candidate will own the interactions with several senior leaders
Serving as a single point of contact for customers front-to-back
Developing (with the architecture function) and communicating a three-year business-aligned technology strategy and target architecture a
Supporting the customer in defining "change the bank" and "run the bank" demand
Aligning customer needs with service lines to evolve our service portfolio
Driving the translation of business priorities / initiatives into business cases
Representing performance of all Tech delivery front-to-back
Managing serious escalations in line with incident management processes
Representing at customers' management meetings
Skills
Comprehensive knowledge of retail wealth management
Proven account management / business relationship management skills on behalf of a large technology organization
Strategic thinker with ability to create a vision supported by a three-year roadmaps to reach the desired target state
Demonstrated ability to drive change and delivery on multi-year strategic initiatives
Thorough understanding of application development
Ability to work across organizational boundaries; astute in working through various groups in a large global enterprise
Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risk related to project delivery and financials; ability to identify and remove bottlenecks across technology and business groups
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent leadership, relationship management and influence skills
Ability to handle stressful situations with multiple groups
Demonstrated ability to take initiative
Significant experience in managing business demand for technology as a liaison and direct face-off with mid to senior level business leadership
Demonstrated experience working with technology leadership and business partners to understand high-level business visions with strategies and feeding them into technology strategies and roadmaps
15+ years of experience working directly in or closely with a technology delivery organization; 5+ years of that experience should be in the financial services industry
Experience with the full software development life cycle including both traditional waterfall and agile methodologies
5+ years of experience managing budgets minimally in the $5-10m range
Experience presenting, collaborating and building trusted relationships with senior leadership (both business and technology) and technical peers to influence direction

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
