Successful candidate will be a hands-on analyst with knowledge of enterprise applications leveraging Linux/Java, databases, and enterprise integration patterns (eg EMS messaging).
Must have a strong focus on technical excellence and be driven to ensure this propagates to all parts of the system.
Will be responsible for L3 applications support and management of critical production issues, and for longer term stability and capacity improvements to the Billing and TP applications.
Needs to possess strong PB Business knowledge and communication skills to be able to effectively interact with, and potentially manage, other Dev/QA teams//business users etc on cross-application projects
Will need to adapt quickly to new processes and standards, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
4+ years hand on technical IT experience working with enterprise/database applications
Ideally including hands on experience of the majority of:
T-SQL on Sybase/SQL Server databases or PL/SQL procedures on Oracle (ideally both!)
Unix/Linux shell and Perl scripts development and support
Platform Management of Linux/Solaris systems (ideally including servers migration or virtualisation)
Messaging platforms and monitoring tools (Tibco EMS, IBM MQ or similar)
Experience of Cyber Query reports preferred
Working knowledge of batch scheduling configuration (ideally Autosys)
Java applications support with emphasis on server-side J2EE preferred
Experience of supporting business critical production applications (L3, capacity management etc)
Experience in working within and IB/Equities business (ideally in Prime Brokerage or Clearing)
Problem solving skills, and excellent written and communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
